Memes are a Haiku phenomenon. Not only on Hatena Haiku but a lot of the internet, as a meme is one of the many sorts of trends humans have become interested in for a point in time and then buried deep back down either to be forgotten, return later, or just be appreciated by a small group who did enjoy which it lasted.

However memes are not always a video, picture, or song which was created at some point in human history. There are also things called "Voice Memes" where one could be given a list of questions on a subject or asked to do goofy things with their voice and then put it out to share with their friends and whoever else may spot it.
